Balls bounce Bucks' – not Bobcats' – way

SECAUCUS, N.J. – Judging from the smile on Bucks general manager Larry Harris' face and the frowns on just about everyone else's, the 2005 NBA draft lottery did more damage than good Tuesday night.

The whole event is really 15 of the most awkward minutes on live television. Thirteen people sitting on stage and masking their emotions as the fates of their respective franchises are decided by ping-pong balls and secret envelopes.

Once again, the ping-pong gods wreaked havoc on the draft. Two of the three worst teams in the NBA, the Hornets and Bobcats, were pushed out of the top three as the Bucks and Blazers leapfrogged them against the odds.
