A former dominant community college player who had two very solid seasons at Iowa State. Averaged 13.9 ppg, 9.6 rpg on 56 percent shooting his senior season. Was dominant in Portsmouth averaging 19.3 ppg and 8.3 rpg. Was one of the top five players at the Chicago pre-draft camp as well.
Positives: Good motor. He stays active and is always scrapping for rebounds and loose balls. His energy, ability to get up and down the floor and a pretty solid jumper make him worth keeping an eye on. Also has a certain toughness about him despite his skinny appearance.
Negatives Offensively, he doesn't do a lot with his back to the basket. He's more of a high post center. He needs to add 20 pounds of muscle to handle the beating he needs to deliver in the NBA.
Insider analysis He's been tough to ignore with solid performances in both draft camps. I don't think he can slip into the first round, but someone will take a chance on him in the second for sure.
