Getting to know the NBA newbies

Rosters were finalized late Monday, and quite a few unfamiliar players ended up making NBA teams. Under the new collective bargaining agreement, the injured list has been scrapped in favor of an inactive list, which can change from game to game. Teams can keep up to three players on the inactive list, carrying a maximum of 15 on their roster. San Antonio, Sacramento and Atlanta open the season with only 13 slots filled, while Toronto and Golden State have 14. Everyone else is carrying 15.
