With the playoffs right around the corner, postseason awards aren't far behind.

We know the NBA is a league that's all about the superstars. The top 10 players in the NBA garner all the attention, drive the marketing campaigns, dictate team personnel decisions and, with the exception of Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles, generally lead their teams to the playoffs.

Despite the intense competition among the stars to win championships and MVP titles, there are only a few players in each category who are legitimate contenders for each.
