On draft day, much of the mystery surrounding the event is gone. Thanks to guys like Chad Ford, we typically know exactly where 10-12 players will be drafted in Round 1, and we'll know another 25 guys or so who will fill out the rest of the top 30 picks. Sure, some guys end up rising and falling, but with just a few exceptions, the draft script is mostly written.

Still, there can always be surprises, and like a game of dominoes, one draft selection can open things up for another team (or teams) to have a bigger draft than expected. The ride for the players can be interesting as well; their fortunes seem to rise and fall with each selection. How's it all going to shake out? Let's look ahead and see what the five top stories could end up being by late Thursday.

1. Wesley Johnson goes to New Jersey/Derrick Favors to Minnesota.
