Astros definitely got a future All-Star in 2012's overall No. 1 pick
From now until the end of the season, we'll be giving you an updated report on prospects who appeared on Keith Law's preseason top 100 or midseason top 50 prospect rankings. Today we're taking a "second look" at Houston Astros rookie and the No. 1 overall pick of the 2012 draft Carlos Correa, as well as Arizona Diamondbacks prospect Matt Davidson.

The Houston Astros made Carlos Correa the first Puerto Rican-born player to go No. 1 overall in the draft two months ago, and he has the noisy tools as a projectable shortstop to justify himself as the top pick. I recently saw Correa play for the Rookie-Level Gulf Coast League Astros and came away as impressed as you can be from a quick look at a player at the complex league level.
