Early-season sell-high candidates
Five players worth dealing while their trade value is near its peak
The White Sox made several moves this past offseason to start reshaping their roster after a disappointing last-place finish in the AL Central in 2013. Those moves included the signing of Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu and separate trades with the Diamondbacks that netted them center fielder Adam Eaton and highly touted third-base prospect Matt Davidson. Those moves, along with the scorching play of Ramirez, have contributed to a promising start to this season for the White Sox.
However, the White Sox still have a lot of work to do if they are to close the gap in the division between themselves and the Tigers, and the best way to do that may be to trade Ramirez while his value is at its highest.
