The Tampa Bay Rays' low attendance figures received too much attention in the season's final week, with the emphasis on the players' dismay rather than on their outstanding performance this year. Even with a few hiccups in September, the Rays are well-positioned to win the franchise's first World Series. It's an outstanding run-prevention squad, with a league-average offense, that's managed well enough to squeeze a few more runs than you might expect from their overall production level, along with the key elements you'd like to see in a potential October powerhouse.
