Law's top five players by position
Looking at depth via expected position upon reaching 'The Show'
As a corollary to the overall top 100 rankings, here's a breakdown of the top five guys at each position -- college and high school players -- with a few notes on the quality of the crop in each bucket. For the purposes of this list, I've combined some positions, such as putting middle infielders together because we rarely see pure second basemen on these rankings. Major league second basemen usually start their pro careers at other positions.
Positions here will differ from those listed on the top 100. On that master list, we've given each player's current position(s). Here, the emphasis is on where each player is likely to play if and when he reaches the majors.
NOTE: Logos shown for high school players are of the college where they have committed to play.
