Even lousy AL teams like the Royals and Orioles dominate the NL

The National League lays claim to two of the last three World Series winners, but little doubt exists that the American League has become the superior league in recent years. Not only does the AL have a 13-year unbeaten streak in the All-Star Game, but it has handled the NL in interleague play as well, winning at a .522 clip since it was instituted in 1997.
