1. Vazquez better than record indicates

Javier Vazquez is quietly having a solid first season with the Braves. The veteran right-hander's record is only 6-7, but he has a 2.95 ERA and a 5.91 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He rides a string of eight strong starts -- he has a 1.96 ERA since May 30 -- into Sunday night's game against the Mets (6 p.m. ET on ESPN).
