The three-day All-Star break is a convenient time to begin the grieving process, so this is a timely moment to re-evaluate the playoff races. Three teams that PECOTA tabbed as potentially playoff-bound back in April have seen their odds of joining the dance fall below 0.5 percent -- but none of the Diamondbacks, A's and Indians are the biggest disappointments relative to their preseason predicted performances. The biggest loser and gainer both come from the same division -- the NL Central -- while the three-team AL East slugfest has a new look at the midway pole, and one NL West squad has risen from single digits into contention.
