1. Pineiro pickup working out nicely for Cardinals

The surging Cardinals are reaping the rewards of acquiring pitcher Joel Pineiro from the Red Sox less than a month ago. The veteran right-hander went from the Boston bullpen to the Cards' starting rotation, and he has delivered back-to-back outstanding starts for his new team. He gets the call in the series finale against the Cubs.
