DALLAS -- The Cardinals career of Mark Grudzielanek is history -- but not because he didn't want to return.
According to Grudzielanek's agent, Seth Levinson, he and Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty analyzed the second-baseman market and came to an agreement that Grudzielanek's value exceeded the two-year, $5-million deal signed recently by Neifi Perez and the Cubs.
