The best don't always get recognized

Maybe you missed it. Andruw Jones was the best hitter in the National League this season. Sure, he ranked 53rd in the National League in batting average. Forty-second in on-base percentage. Fifth in slugging percentage. Still, he was the best. The best.
How do I know? Because a few weeks ago, Jones was proclaimed the National League winner of the 2005 Hank Aaron Award.
