In between canceling my travel plans to Oakland and trying to figure out if anybody's noticed how well Brian Giles has played this season, I thought I'd answer some e-mail.

Ken: Oh by the way … Does anyone know that Trevor Hoffman hasn't blown a save since April 29? I've written to you many times about this guy, and I'm starting to think that he is one the the most underrated pitchers of our lifetime. He does this every year and because he's in SD, no one seems to notice. Oh yeah. He's 37 and tops out at 88 mph.
