Hey, it's not all bad in St. Louis. Albert Pujols' oblique muscle is once again functional, the Cardinals still lead the National League Central by a hair, and it's only a few days before they escape those American League bullies and resume playing the junior varsities.

General manager Walt Jocketty wants to obtain an impact outfield bat, but every potential trade partner throws out Anthony Reyes or Adam Wainwright's name in discussions.

"Then we throw them out, too," Jocketty said, laughing. Translation: Reyes isn't going anywhere, and neither is Wainwright, unless the Cards are overwhelmed.
