Eaton 'irked' at Padres' approach
Adam Eaton, a free agent next winter, is disturbed by how the Padres are conducting business this offseason.
Mike Cameron, Vinny Castilla, Doug Mirabelli and Dewon Brazelton are new in town, and Mark Loretta, Brian Lawrence and Sean Burroughs are gone. The Padres nearly lost closer Trevor Hoffman to Cleveland before signing him for a hometown discount, and they jumped in late in the game to keep Brian Giles from becoming a Dodger.
