Best values

There's such a shortage in the catcher market that even the good players with upside -- mostly Brian McCann, who's already a star-caliber player, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who has a little growth left in his offensive game -- are likely to be handsomely compensated. That means the best values are guys who'll likely play part-time or who are very high-risk but offer more reward than the retreads at the bottom of the market.
