When Albert Pujols decided to sign with the Los Angeles Angels, he changed the landscape of the American League West, putting the Texas Rangers on notice that they're not going to run away with the division title again next year.

However, while Pujols' impact will be felt in a big way out west, the National League Central may not see a similar shakeup from having Pujols exit stage left. In fact, the Cardinals are in a position to not only survive the loss of their franchise player, but they have a chance to be even better next year than they were this season.
