Hall of Fame must revamp voting process
The process in which the Veterans Committee votes on Hall of Fame candidates is a mess and it needs to be restructured.

I've written many thousands of words about the latest manifestation of the Hall of Fame's Committee on Veterans. And I'm sure I'll write thousands more. Today I'd like to begin with someone else's
Rob, I was just reading a couple of your older columns on the Hall of Fame voting and the Veterans Committee.In light of Ron Santo being denied again, do you have any idea what the argument is against him? Even reading his bio on the Hall's Web site, I can't find a good reason to keep him out. Care to play devil's advocate? I just want an idea of what the committee is doing besides preventing anyone else from joining their ranks, especially such a worthy candidate.
