Morgan's the cream of the crop

People do get worked up over this stuff, don't they?
Recently, I happened to mention that Joe Morgan ranks as the greatest second baseman of all time, even better than Rogers Hornsby. This is by no means a universal opinion, but I was surprised to hear from a couple of irate readers, who wondered how I could possibly be stupid enough to rank Morgan ahead of the Rajah. After all, Hornsby batted .358 while Little Joe batted just .271.
That's simple to understand. You would make that conclusion while walking down the street or going to the store, right? Well, maybe. We'll address this further, below.
