Good measure of a pitcher's consistency

If you want to know how the Houston Astros have muscled their way into the postseason conversation, look no further than their starting pitchers. Three major leaguers have put up 16 quality starts: at least six innings, with three or fewer earned runs. Two of those three pitchers -- Roger Clemens and Roy Oswalt -- are Astros. Another Astro, Andy Pettitte, is tied for eighth in the National League with 13 quality starts.
