The Blue Jays have been going retro for a while now, since Paul Beeston returned to the team a few years back, and they have continued that shift with the choices they made for their new logo. You'll notice the maple leaf that is now a prominent part of the new logo, and that it's almost exactly the same as the Toronto logo from the last years they played in the World Series, in 1992 and 1993.
