The Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees have reportedly agreed to a trade, with New York sending right-hander A.J. Burnett to Pittsburgh for right-handed reliever Diego Moreno and outfielder Exicardo Cayones and the Bucs picking up $13 million of the $31.1 million left on the final two years of Burnett's contract.
The Pirates are going to be on the receiving end of a salary dump from the highest-revenue team in MLB, and the impressive part is that they'll get a good deal in the bargain.
