Two attractive Cuban free agents remain
Though there are only a few weeks remaining in baseball's offseason, one curious storyline has emerged. Free agent Cuban defectors Leslie Anderson and Jose Julio Ruiz, both left-handed first baseman with outfield experience, were unblocked by the U.S. government (it's now officially been determined they will not contribute to communist activities in Cuba) and are eligible to sign with an MLB team. Anderson is scheduled to have an open workout in Cancun, Mexico, on Friday.
