Bracket projection: Michigan State
Tom Izzo has a good track record, but a team that's been banged up
The Michigan State Spartans, considered one of the cut-down-the-nets favorites back in November, were bitten repeatedly by the injury bug as four starters were victimized this season. Coach Tom Izzo only recently got all of the walking wounded back, so he's been forced to build a cohesive unit in weeks, not months. Can Izzo, known as a March magician, put all the puzzle pieces together and make a big run through the bracket?
ESPN Insider has your answers, as Joe Lunardi has enlisted a team of Bracketologists to compile advanced metrics, key scouting intel and best- and worst-case tournament scenarios for all 68 teams in order to help you make smart picks in your bracket. Plus, as Lunardi fills out his bracket, he'll give you his prediction on how each team will fare.
Best wins: Kentucky, at Texas, Ohio State, vs. Iowa (twice)
Worst losses: Georgetown, Illinois, Nebraska
