In his two seasons leading the UNLV Rebels, Dave Rice has upgraded the talent and excitement quotient, but not the results of Lon Kruger's tenure. Can the Rebels erase the memory of a disappointing, and at times perplexing, regular season with a deep tournament run?

Lunardi's Logic

Okay, so the committee got it wrong. The Runnin' Rebels should not be facing Cal in a rematch of their regular-season win in Berkeley. But the Rebels are still a better team, and it's not like there won't be any Vegas fans making the trip across Northern California. I'm more worried about the Rebels against Syracuse, as this team has been too inconsistent to expect top performances back-to-back.
