The South Dakota State Jackrabbits entered the season as the heavy favorite to win the Summit League, and they did just that for the second year in a row. Now, in just their second NCAA tournament appearance ever, can they improve upon the eight-point loss they suffered to Baylor in 2012?
ESPN Insider has your answers, as Joe Lunardi has enlisted a team of Bracketologists to compile advanced metrics, key scouting intel and best- and worst-case tournament scenarios for all 68 teams, in order to help you make smart picks in your bracket. Plus, as Lunardi fills out his bracket, he'll give you his prediction on how each team will fare.
A popular upset pick, South Dakota State will still be outmanned in at least four of five positional match ups against Michigan. The Jackrabbits will need to see the Wolverines of late February and early March, not the ones who looked like national title contenders in December and January. The great Nate Wolters notwithstanding, I don't like their chances.
Best wins: at New Mexico, at Montana, North Dakota State
Worst losses: at Hofstra, at South Dakota, at IUPUI, at Cal State Bakersfield
