More depth and a quicker pace should make the Huskies better

Washington Huskies

2012-13: 18-16 (9-9 Pac-12) Lost to BYU 90-79, NIT first round
In-conference offense: 0.98 points per possession (10th)
In-conference defense: 0.99 points per possession (6th)

They looked the part. Had the right jerseys and everything. But the players who submitted an up-and-down 18-16 season were not the Washington Huskies as they've been known during 11 years under Lorenzo Romar, the dean of the Pac-12's coaches. Romar's trademarks include a fast pace and pressure defense, neither of which was seen in Seattle last season.
