The Panthers, despite key losses from last season's team, could surprise
2012-13: 15-19 (8-10)
In-conference offense: 0.90 points per possession (9th)
In-conference defense: 0.95 points allowed per possession (5th)
With both of Prairie View A&M's double-digit scorers from 2012-13 gone, coach Byron Rimm will have to make sure players who played well in support last season now step up. The Panthers previously fielded one of the country's worst offenses, but their defense checked in at No. 5 in the SWAC and there are signs the defense could improve even more.
