Preview: Alcorn State Braves
The Braves' fate will likely rest on the shoulders of LeAntwan Luckett
2012-13: 10-24 (8-10)
In-conference offense: 0.91 points per possession (8th)
In-conference defense: 0.92 points allowed per possession (4th)
Alcorn State's most important piece from last season returns: sophomore guard LeAntwan Luckett will again likely lead the team in minutes, touches, and shot attempts. The offense will run through him, but his lackluster shooting percentages (41 percent from 2, 19 percent from 3) must improve. In addition to Luckett, the Braves could count on building off one of their best defensive performances in years, in which they finished fourth in conference-only adjusted defensive efficiency.
