James Green coached Jacksonville State last season to its second-straight 8-8 finish in Ohio Valley Conference play, which is a feat for a program that has floundered for more than a decade. Green weathered some tough years that included issues with academics, but now the program is on stable footing. Like several other OVC programs, the Gamecocks lost a few significant seniors from last season and will look to replace their production with a mixture of junior college transfers and inexperienced returners.
