Preview: Villanova Wildcats
The Wildcats' ability to take and make free throws could again determine fate
2012-13: 20-14 (10-8)
In-conference offense: 0.99 points per possession (9th)
In-conference defense: 0.95 points per possession (4th)
Getting a handle on this season's Wildcats team is a tricky business, even for a squad that returns four of five starters from last season's NCAA tournament unit. Villanova finished 2012-13 with a record of 20-14, highlighted by wins against Louisville, Syracuse, Marquette and Georgetown, yet pockmarked by an 18-point home loss to Columbia. Move beyond the results to the metrics and things get even foggier.
