2013-14 Preview: Providence Friars
A talented backcourt and strong freshman class has Friar fans optimistic
2012-13: 19-15 (9-9)
In-conference offense: 1.00 points per possession (8th)
In-conference defense: 1.02 points allowed per possession (10th)
Ricardo Ledo's departure before ever suiting up for the Friars is definitely a blow, but that aside, Providence finished the 2012-13 season with a record of 9-9 in the Big East, including a 5-3 record against its fellow members in the so-called Catholic Seven. That bodes well as thoughts turn to 2013-14, as does the marked defensive improvement PC made in Year 2 under head coach Ed Cooley.
