Preview: Georgetown Hoyas
The Hoyas will go deep in 2013-14 if offensive concerns are addressed
2012-13: 25-7 (14-4)
In-conference offense: 1.03 points per possession (7th)
In-conference defense: 0.91 points allowed per possession (2nd)
The transition to the post-Otto Porter era could have gone smoothly. The Hoyas could have exchanged one 6-foot-8, high-scoring small forward for another with junior Greg Whittington assuming a large chunk of Porter's load while proving equally effective on the defensive end -- if not more. But an offseason ACL tear may have Whittington sidelined for the 2013-14 season and leaves a team that struggled to score a season ago looking for added contributions across the roster.
