2013-14 Preview: Western Kentucky
With four returning starters from 20-win team, Hilltoppers enter as a favorite
2012-13: 20-16 (10-10)
In-conference offense: 1.03 points per possession (2nd)
In-conference defense: 1.02 points allowed per possession (7th)
On one hand, Western Kentucky coach Ray Harper has taken the Hilltoppers to the NCAA tournament in each of his first two seasons at the helm -- an impressive feat. On the other hand, what WKU has shown most during Harper's short tenure is that it's capable of catching fire come Sun Belt tourney time. as opposed to displaying much consistency during the season. This season's squad seems poised to revise at least half of that script by achieving regular season success.
