2013-14 Preview: Troy Trojans
New coach faces tough challenge with loss of key rotation players
2012-13: 12-21 (6-14)
In-conference offense: 0.98 points per possession (8th)
In-conference defense: 1.06 points allowed per possession (10th)
New Troy coach Phil Cunningham has an uphill battle ahead of him, and it's hard to imagine significant progress for a program that fell on hard times in the last three seasons of Don Maestri's tenure. No major contributor returns who posted an offensive rating over 95. The Trojans rarely turned the ball over, but they missed a very high number of shots and rarely got to the line. Lastly, it's not likely the conference's second-worst defense will drastically improve overnight.
