Preview: South Alabama Jaguars
Jaguars will go as far as reigning conference POY Augustine Rubit takes them
2012-13: 17-13 (14-6)
In-conference offense: 0.99 points per possession (7th)
In-conference defense: 0.95 points allowed per possession (3rd)
Former Butler assistant Matthew Graves takes over in Mobile this season, and he's no doubt happy to start his career in the Sun Belt with the conference's reigning Player of the Year on hand in the form of senior forward Augustine Rubit. The front-runner to repeat as conference POY this season, Rubit does everything well. Last season he recorded a 56 percent true shooting percentage, rebounded a staggering 15 percent of his team's missed shots, finished in the top 10 nationwide at getting to the line, and was one of the best shot blockers in the Sun Belt. In his final year at USA, he'll likely become only more dominant on the inside.
