Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns

2012-13: 13-20 (8-12)
In-conference offense: 1.00 points per possession (5th)
In-conference defense: 1.05 points allowed per possession (9th)

Louisiana-Lafayette will be in good shape beginning 2013-14 because it returns its major contributors. As the youngest player named first-team All-Sun Belt last season, guard Elfrid Payton will once again be Louisiana's star. Now a junior, Payton averaged 15.9 points per game while assisting on 34 percent of his teammates' made baskets, a performance that helped earn him a spot on the U-19 USA team this summer at the World Championships. He's also excellent at reaching the free throw line and his offensive output could be even higher if he makes more than 64 percent of his free throws.
