Charlon KloofAP Photo/Donn JonesSenior Charlon Kloof, according to his coaching staff, has had a breakout performance this summer.

St. Bonaventure Bonnies

2012: 14-15 (7-9 A-10)
In-conference offense: 1.07 points per possession (7th)
In-conference defense: 1.09 points allowed per possession (14th)

Say this for Mark Schmidt: He has a firm grasp on the power of randomness. He consistently points to three plays -- ones that cost the Bonnies a last-second loss against Xavier and overtime defeats to Temple and Richmond -- as all that stood between his team and a second straight 10-6 A-10 record. But if Schmidt can't figure out how to replace his top three scorers, probability will catch up to St. Bonaventure this season.
