After guiding Southeast Missouri out of the depths of the Ohio Valley Conference standings, coach Dickey Nutt's next challenge is to take the team into the upper echelon. He's certainly brought talent to Cape Girardeau, and his squad appeared poised to make the leap last season before finishing league play at 8-8. He will surely have one of the most talented frontcourts in the OVC this season, led by senior Tyler Stone and rising junior Nino Johnson. While Stone has been the Redhawks' star player, it's Johnson who turned the most heads last season by averaging 11.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
