Preview: Murray State Racers
Despite rebuild, the Racers' new additions could make them OVC contenders
- Spruce Derden/US PresswireWith only one returning starter, Steve Prohm and Murray State enter rebuilding mode in 2013-14.
2012-13: 21-10 (10-6)In his first two seasons as head coach at Murray State, Steve Prohm took the program to new heights with a squad full of upperclassmen. With the departure of four starters, it may appear that Prohm's program is heading for a rebuilding season rather than its usual reloading. However Murray State has never had trouble reloading -- it has finished above .500 in Ohio Valley play every year since 1987. Prohm will attempt to continue that winning trend by utilizing a combination of promising returnees and junior college transfers looking to make an immediate impact.
