2012-13: 16-16 (10-6)
In-conference offense: 1.06 points per possession (4th)
In-conference defense: 0.99 points allowed per possession (5th)
After 17 seasons at the helm, Bulldogs head coach Eddie Biedenbach resigned to take an assistant position at North Carolina-Wilmington. In his place the school promoted 34-year-old associate head coach Nick McDevitt, a former Asheville point guard who had spent 12 years on Biedenbach's staff. McDevitt instantly becomes one of Division I's youngest head coaches, and he takes over a roster with some sizable holes to fill. Gone are wings Jeremy Atkinson and Keith Hornsby, an efficient duo that combined to score nearly 33 points per game.
