In-conference defense: 1.06 points per possession (7th)
Corey Hawkins exploded onto the scene, averaging 20 points per game last season, and has given UC Davis fans reason for optimism in 2013-14. The Arizona State transfer was the Big West Newcomer of the Year and earned first-team all-conference honors to become the only Big West scoring champ in program history in the process. Not only did Hawkins score in bunches, he did so efficiently. His 114 offensive rating was far and away the best mark among Big West players who used over 28 percent of possessions during their minutes. But this season, opponents know Hawkins is coming, and duplicating that efficiency won't be easy.
