Titans must fix defensive struggles to make noise this season
2012-13: 14-18 (6-12)
In-conference offense: 1.07 points per possession (4th)
In-conference defense: 1.12 points per possession (10th)
Coming off a disastrous season that saw Cal State Fullerton win just six conference games in a league in which some observers thought the Titans might contend for a title, the program turned to former Arizona State associate head coach Dedrique Taylor. The first-time head coach has vowed to apply a pressure-based man-to-man defense while sprinkling in some different zone schemes as well. Offensively, Taylor has indicated he'd like to play an up-tempo brand of basketball but has claimed that the team will play only as fast as will allow them to be effective.
