John: Paul, it's not often that a discussion of North Carolina occurs in the aftermath of a third-place finish in the ACC, three games out of first. Was that one of those proverbial "down" seasons we just saw from Roy Williams' team?

Paul: I actually thought the Tar Heels had an overachieving season, John. It's hard to win at a high level with a frontcourt made up of freshmen, but I love what Williams did going to a smaller lineup in February. That change produced a spark. All in all it was great season, one in which UNC won 25 games.
