How Kentucky can beat Wisconsin
Attacking Badgers' defense, limiting Frank Kaminsky among keys for Wildcats
At a Final Four where one of the participants (Florida) hasn't lost a game since December, it's hard to stand out on the momentum front. That said, Wisconsin has been very tough to beat since its brief but unmistakable January slump, winning 13 of its past 15 games.
And what about those two losses? Glad you asked. That leads me to the first point in the blueprint for how Kentucky can beat Wisconsin.
Attack the Badgers' defense
In the last game of the regular season for both teams, Nebraska beat Wisconsin in Lincoln by scoring 1.19 points per possession. And in the Big Ten tournament semifinals, Michigan State prevailed against the Badgers by recording a rather remarkable 1.32 points per trip.
Frank Kaminsky is a decent shot-blocker, but as the performances by the Cornhuskers and Spartans would suggest, this is not a particularly stout Badgers defense. Oregon scored 1.18 points per possession against the Badgers in the round of 32 by hitting eight 3s and getting to the free throw line.
