Sizing up Cinderellas
Which potential auto-bids could bust brackets come tourney time?
Each week during the college basketball season, ESPN Insiders Jay Bilas and Jeff Goodman will weigh in on the biggest questions of the sport.
The discussion: Which team from a likely one-bid conference looks most capable of a Cinderella performance in the tournament? (Wichita State excluded for obvious reasons.)
Jeff Goodman: Green Bay out of the Horizon. The league certainly isn't what it was when Butler was around, but it's still a quality mid-major conference and the Phoenix went 14-2 in league play. Green Bay also beat Virginia and nearly knocked off Wisconsin in nonconference play. Coach Brian Wardle has a big-time point guard in junior Keifer Sykes to go along with a talented, skilled 7-footer in Alec Brown. That's a pretty good place to start.
