VirginiaGeoff Burke/USA TODAY SportsAfter some early-season hiccups, Virginia has been clicking on all cylinders lately.

Each week during the college basketball season, ESPN Insiders Jay Bilas and Jeff Goodman will weigh in on the biggest questions of the sport.

The discussion: Who is the hottest team in the nation right now?

Jeff Goodman: I'm still shocked that the Virginia Cavaliers are 20-5 and 10-1 in the ACC. Maybe it's that I was in Charlottesville, Va., when Tony Bennett's team scored a grand total of 38 points in a home loss to Wisconsin. Or maybe it's because Virginia got blitzed by 35 points a little more than three weeks later by a mediocre Tennessee team in Knoxville, Tenn.

But the Cavaliers are in position to challenge for the ACC title. They have reeled off 11 straight, with the lone setback coming at Duke in mid-January. It's the best conference start for the Cavs since the Ralph Sampson days way back in 1982.
